When done properly, the removal process starts at the top.  Our highly trained and experienced crew members climb up and begin removing the upper limbs. The large limbs are then cut into smaller pieces and lowered slowly to the ground by using heavy duty ropes designed for tree removal work.  Small branches are removed from the outside of the tree canopy, and dropped safely to the ground. After all the branches have been removed, all that remains is the tree trunk. At that point, the tree removal crew then removes the smaller sections of the trunk from the top down.   The base of the tree trunk is cut as low feasible, usually a few inches above ground.
